Low-grade ore bodies, increase in rock competency, finely disseminated valuable minerals in the ore bodies, ore variability and water scarcity are among the technical challenges faced by the mining industry. These challenges have increased the business risk, capital investment and operating cost of the mining projects. Since the last 20 years, many large-scale concentrators have been built to cope with the above-mentioned challenges. Comminution, especially the fine grinding is an energy-intensive process. For example, the ball mill has a limitation in the fine grinding regime where the energy consumption increases exponentially when the product size is below 45 µm. The industry has been seeking for solutions that have a minimum risk and total cost of ownership. The stirred milling technology such as the TowerMill is well accepted by the industry as it has demonstrated the attributes required for fine grinding. TowerMill is a matured technology that has been adopted since the 80s for regrinding duty. Recently, this technology was installed in secondary and tertiary grinding duty to prepare a finer feed to rougher flotation. Four units of TowerMills were installed in a magnetite concentrator in Western Australia in tertiary grinding duty. Recently, Nippon Eirich has conducted process performance evaluation on the TowerMill circuit. The outcome of the exercise had indicated that the circuit is consuming 3.4 kWh/t to reduce from 55 µm to 35 µm with a narrow product size distribution. The effect of operating variables such as the specific energy, grinding media size, mill content % solids and mill feed configuration on the grinding efficiency were evaluated at the plant scale. Furthermore, the scale-up methodology was validated. The scope of this paper includes the performances of TowerMill and the validation of scale-up methodology.

Most of the Indian coking coals are medium coking and of very high ash content. Beneficiation of these coals is a must for their utilisation in coke making. During washing while the ash content of the coal is reduced, the same is expected to affect the reactive-inert ratio and the proportion of various petrographic constituents in the clean coal. This will affect the coking behaviour, including the expansion characteristics, of such coal. An increase in expansion behaviour of coal increases the wall pressure and may damage the battery wall. Therefore, close monitoring of coking properties along with drop in ash is necessary for smooth use of the coal in coke ovens. An effort is, therefore, essential to understand the impact of washing on its coking properties. The studies were carried out with captive coals of Tata Steel, India. Three medium coking coal samples namely, VII A, VI A and XI SEB seam coals of West Bokaro Colliery were used for the study. The coal samples after washing to different ash levels were subjected to the following analysis: proximate, crucible swelling number (CSN), LT GK test, dilatometer and plastometer tests and petrography. The experimental data were then analysed to assess the relationship of various coking properties of the coal with its ash content. The studies clearly show that there is a strong impact of beneficiation of the coal on its coking behaviour. The impacts are more at lower level of ash in the clean coal. In general, the coking properties increase with a decrease in ash. This is primarily due to an enrichment of vitrinte materials in the clean coal and an increase in the reactive-inert ratio in the coals. However, the most important impact of the lowering ash is on the increase in the swelling nature of the coal. The coals with lower ash become highly expanding in nature. This may be very critical from operations of coke ovens point of view, especially stamp charged coke ovens. Necessary precaution should be taken in selecting the other coal blend constituents when these coals are beneficiated to a very low level of ash content.

Mineral ilmenite is a major resource for titanium, whose major application is for production of Titanium dioxide (TiO2) for pigment application. The production of pigment grade TiO2 from ilmenite was earlier carried out by acid leaching, which has now been banned due to environmental regulations. Further acid leaching leads to loss of iron metal values as sulphate or chloride which are also treated as effluent. In thermal plasma processing the metal values are recovered as high value pig iron and Titanium dioxide is recovered as Titania rich slag containing 80 to 85 percent TiO2. The Titania rich slag has now been considered as a better input material than synthetic rutile for production of pigment grade Titanium dioxide. On the other hand, high value pig iron goes for automobile industry for specific application. An Inflight-flight Thermal Plasma Processing plant, used for the production of Titania Rich slag and high value Pig iron from ilmenite, with 20kg capacity was designed and fabricated. The reactor has the provision to utilize the flue gas generated for preheating the input of raw materials. Various aspects of designing the furnace operation include viz. Feeding the raw material at a fixed rate, designing the crucible used for melting ilmenite, proper cooling arrangements, an innovative method for tapping the melt, recovery of heat from the gases, various safety arrangements which are some of the important milestone of the present work. The various operations have been carried out through a controller panel. Experiments were carried out to optimize various processing parameters using statistical modeling. Large scale experiments have been carried out at 10 to15 kg scale. The material balance has been calculate, and it has been observed, that about 95 percent recovery could be obtained for both Iron and Titanium oxide from ilmenite. The detailed characterization on Titania rich slag and iron has been carried out. It has also been shown that using the above slag, it is possible to prepare nanosized Titanium dioxide powder containing about 98 percent Titanium dioxide by optimizing leaching conditions. The flotation efficiency of magnetic concentrate of the Anhui hematite ore, which includes a great quantity of iron-bearing silicates, has been studied through reverse flotation test with a new type of collector Fly-102. The results indicate that collector Fly-102 has a strong adaptability to the variation of temperature, when the flotation temperature is in the range of 10? to 35?, using collector Fly-102 can obtain good flotation indexes. Collector Fly-102 has a strong adaptability to the variation of the slime contents and grades of the flotation samples. When the content of slime and the grade of the flotation feeds are 30% and 55.63% respectively, under the condition that the temperature is 15?, the open circuit flotation test was carried out with collector Fly-102. After one-stage roughing, one-stage cleaning and two-stage scavenging, a better result is got, the grade of iron concentrate reaches 67.12%, and the recovery of iron concentrate comes up to 84.15%.

"Hydrometallurgical recovery of metals from printed circuit board waste typically involves multiple leaching stages; conventionally, base metals dissolution by mineral acids is followed by leaching of gold using cyanide or halide based lixiviants. Alternative lixiviants for gold leaching can reduce the potential hazardous nature of operation. The aim of this study was to investigate the feasibility of using thiosulfate as lixiviant for gold leaching from waste printed circuit boards. Batch leaching tests were performed to investigate the effects of thiosulfate concentration (0.1 – 0.2 M), ammonium concentration (0.2 – 0.4 M), pH (9 – 10.5), solids content (25 – 50 g/L), and copper content of the feed material on the gold leaching behavior. The concentrations of metals in liquid samples were determined by means of inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy, and high pressure liquid chromatography was used to evaluate thiosulfate degradation/consumption. The ratio of thiosulfate to ammonia was found to have the most significant effect on the extent of gold leaching, with the best gold extraction observed at a ratio of 0.5 mole thiosulfate per mole ammonia. The lower pH range of 9 – 9.5 generally produced better Au leaching, while low copper extraction during the first stage base metal leaching stages has proven to be detrimental to gold leaching from the residue. Thiosulfate degradation/consumption increased and gold extraction decreased with higher residual copper in the feed. An optimum gold extraction of 78.5 % from base metal leach residue was achieved with 0.2 M thiosulfate, 0.4 M ammonia, and 0.02 M cupric ions at 25°C in the pH range 9 – 9.5.INTRODUCTION Background and Aim The recycling of e-waste is becoming increasingly important as it provides certain economic benefits apart from the obvious environmental benefits. A detailed study was undertaken to beneficiate sub-grade iron ore sample from Kenojhar District, Orissa, India containing 57% Fe (T), 7.7% SiO2, 4.8% Al2O3, 4 % L.O.I. 0.4% TiO2,1.3 % Mn and traces of S(T) to make it suitable for the user industry. The mineralogical study indicated that it predominantly consists of haematite with subordinate amounts of goethite and clay. Quartz, Cryptomelane / Psilomelane, Pyrolusite, Gibbsite, Feldspar and Muscovite mica were present in very minor to trace amounts. The Denver grind ability tests indicated, that the sample could be categorized as ?medium soft to medium.? The Bond ball mill work index was determined to be 14.19 kwh per short ton. The beneficiation process involved classification followed by tabling of the classified sand, ground to minus 48 mesh size. The table slimes were subjected to Wet High Intensity Magnetic Separator (WHIMS). The developed process yielded a composite concentrate from tabling and WHIMS operations assaying 65% Fe(T), 2% SiO2, 1.8% Al2O3, 2% Mn and 0.9% LOI with a recovery of 60.1% Fe (T), amounting to 52.5 wt.% yield. To meet the size specifications for pellet making, it was further ground. Dewatering studies were also carried out on the ground combined concentrate and rejects. The thickener area of ground combined concentrate using 0.02 kg/t of Sufloc A 1115 flocculant was 0.02 m2/tonne of dry solids per 24 h. And for the combined rejects using 0.12 kg/t of flocculant, it was 0.035 m2/tonne of dry solids per 24 h. The moisture content, in the pressure filtration cake, in the ground combined concentrate product was 10.0%, and productivity was 506.7 kg/m2h. Thus, by thickening and filtration of process products, 90% of water used in the process could be recovered. The study highlights the development of a simple and cost effective flowsheet with almost complete water recovery for a subgrade iron ore sample. Keywords: tabling, WHIMS, thickener, filtration

Accurate information of physical, chemical and metallurgical quality characteristics such as moisture content, iron grade and particle size are crucial for successful process control and for producing products within customer specifications. Correct moisture content of pellet feed is an important variable for successful balling of iron ore pellets and to minimize power consumption in the sintering process. Control of the filtering process in the pelletizing plant is therefore essential for both productivity and high product quality. The current measurement systems for moisture content at LKAB are based on two types of manual grab sampling, subsequently analyzed with rapid moisture determination methods. Previous studies of the measurement systems have indicated high sampling variability resulting in lowered possibilities for successful process control. The objective of the present study is to evaluate an alternative filter sampling approach and testing of on-line Infra-Red analysis (IR-analysis). On-line IR-analysis has the advantage of eliminating physical sample extraction and allowing for continuous monitoring of moisture content. However, this approach is sensitive to the surrounding environment, making careful calibration and control crucial for the quality of measurement results. Furthermore, as IR-sensors only target the surface of the conveyed pellet feed, several incorrect sampling errors need to be considered and counteracted to eliminate sampling bias and reduce the remaining measurement variability. Variographic characterization was applied to the two current grab sampling approaches of combined filtered material, to the alternative filter sampling method, and to the On-line IR-analysis. The results indicate that both the sampling of separate filters (using composite sampling and ISO-standardized moisture analysis), as well as a calibrated and well- maintained IR-sensor can improve the relative variability significantly, by lowering the total measurement system variance from 60% to 25%.

In this paper, the problem of sedimentation and consolidation of poly-disperse suspensions is considered. The solid particles are assumed to be of different densities. If the sediment solids stresses are dropped out of the system equations and using the Richardson and Zaki hindered settling model, it has been found that in the limit, i.e., as time approaches infinity, the fluid is completely displaced to the top of the sediment zone. Furthermore, the species segregate completely with the heavier and coarser particles at the bottom of the sediment and the lighter and finer particles at the top of the sediment. Practical observations do not support these behaviors and physical-ly such behaviors do not exist; consequently, results of this kind in the literature are unrealistic. Here, a mathematical structure of the poly-disperse sedimentation and consolidation problem has been proposed. In this case the compaction zone species solids stresses are introduced in the momentum balance equations of the system. The species solid stresses in the sediment are constrained so that the system equations are consistent, i.e., sedimentation and consolidation of two or more identical species should behave as a mono-disperse system. Such a condition has not been recognized and imposed in some of the studies in the literature, which has led to unreliable results. Two practical forms of species stresses that satisfy the system consistency condition are here proposed. It should be noted that the study of sedimentation and consolidation of poly-disperse suspensions could result in more realistic suspension interfaces compared to mono-disperse suspensions, and could lead to more reliable engineering designs of tailings ponds. Predictions of sedimentation and consolidation in models of poly-disperse suspensions are demonstrated using published data.

A national project of ?Establishing ?Green-Hydrogen (G-H)? Society in Honjo-Waseda Area? is now being developed by Waseda University together with four other universities and ten companies. The project involves three tasks of technological development of, (1)?G-H? production, (2)?G-H? refining, transportation and storage, and (3)?G-H? utilization. This paper focuses the first task of ?G-H? production from aluminium dross. We developed the physical treatment process by combining selective grinding with vibrating rod mill and electrostatic separation, in order to produce two kinds of materials, one is metal aluminium concentrate to recover it and the other is raw material to produce ?G-H? and aluminium hydroxide which can be generated by the treatment with sodium hydroxide aqueous solution. Here, we described the concentration mechanism of metal aluminium in the selective grinding and electrostatic separation and proposed a separation flowchart for optimizing the ?G-H? system in Honjo-Waseda area.

The paper reports results on sinterability of iron ores from the mines of Tata Steel Limited. The objective was to improve tumbler index (TI) of sinter and its reduction parameters, reduction degradation index (RDI) and reducibility (RI) while maintaining strand productivity same or to improve. Pot sintering experiments were carried out with Joda and Noamundi mines having LOI 3.8% and 2.9% respectively. Sinter basicity (CaO/SiO2) was varied in the 2.1 to 2.5 range and its MgO content was kept in the 1.4% to 1.8% range according to the blast furnace requirement. The ignition condition and vacuum was maintained according to the plant practice. The effect of variables namely, granulometric composition of ores vis-à-vis that of sinter mix, bed height, solid fuel, moisture content of green mix on the sintering indices was studied. The productivity with Noamundi ore (26 %+6.3 mm) was lower than that with Joda ore (45% +6.3 mm) at 4% coke in the mix and sinter basicity (CaO/SiO2) 2.1. However, with 4% coke (ash 22%) the RDI value was significantly high in case of Noamundi Ore, which decreased significantly to 29% with 5% coke. The size parameter of ore fines and its LOI content do influence the sintering speed and the sinter properties significantly. At 2.1 basicity ratio, the sinter with the Joda ore having coarsergranulometry had highest TI (=70.2%). The RDI (27%) in this case was inferior to that (23.2%) when Joda ores with finer size was sintered. Better RDI with finer sized ore could be attributed to better assimilation of CaO/ MgO with more balanced and uniformly distributed hematite minerals. The size parameter has been inter-influenced by the coke requirement. With the lower mean sized Joda ore the sinter RDI decreased significantly to 23% and the productivity improved to 42.9 T/(sq m*d) when the coke in the mix increased from 4% to 5%. An attempt to reduce the coke in the mix from 5% to 4% with respect to both the ores was not successful as it resulted higher RDI and lower strand productivity. The present study has revealed that sinter RDI improves (decreases) with decrease in the sintering time, while such correlation was absent between TI of sinter and speed of sintering. Corollary to this observation, one can take advantage of other stronger parameters to increase the sintering speed (and hence sinter productivity) without affecting the sinter strength. In the present study higher FeO sinters has displayed excellent RDI, however cold strength of sinter was not correlated with its FeO content. "The direct reduced iron powder and Ti-V-rich material was prepared from vanadium titanomagnetite concentrate by solid-state reduction-magnetic separation. The result indicated that under the studied conditions, adding KS can effectively improve the metallization rate of pellets. 2% KS was well mixed with vanadium titanomagnetite concentrate to make the pellets. The green pellet was preheated at 900 ? for 6 min. The preheated pellet was reduced at 1050 ? for 100 min, then crushed and ground to more than 80% was below 0.045 mm. The direct reduced iron powder and Ti-V-rich material were separated from the slurry by wet magnetic separation at 800Gs. The TFe content of magnetic material was 90.63%, and the Fe recovery rate reached 96.53%. The TiO2 and V2O5 contents of Ti-V-rich material were 28.40 % and 1.64 %, respectively. The TiO2 and V2O5 recovery rates were 69.05% and 96.82%, respectively. 1. Introduction The ilmenite and rutile are the main titanium resources which can be used in the present technical level and economic conditions[1,2]. However, with the rapid development of China’s economy, the market demand of titanium products is increasing sharply. The current supply of ilmenite and rutile cannot meet the needs of chemical industry[3]. China is rich in vanadium titanomagnetite concentrate which contains abundant titanium and vanadium resources. The TiO2 and V2O5 content of vanadium titanomagnetite concentrate are usually about 7% and 0.3%, respectively[4]. Because the TiO2 and V2O5 grades are low, it generally requires pre-concentrated to Ti-V-rich material before extracting the titanium and vanadium. Therefore, it is vital to find effective processes for pre-concentrating the titanium and vanadium in vanadium titanomagnetite concentrate. There are many methods[5-13] developed or under development to pre-concentrate Ti-V-rich material from vanadium titanomagnetite concentrate, including the blast furnace process, pre-reduction electric furnace process, to utilized vanadium titanomagnetite concentrate are direct reduction-electric furnace smelting, sodium salt roasting-direct reduction-electric furnace smelting and direct reduction-magnetic separation and so on. The blast furnace process and other methods cannot effectively utilize the titanium and vanadium resource due to the technical or environmental problems[9]. In this study, the vanadium titanomagnetite concentrate was obtained from Panxi region of China, the reserves of which account for 11.6% of vanadium and 35.17% of titanium all over the world[3]. The preparation of direct reduced iron powder and Ti-V-rich material based on reduction-magnetic separation is proposed. The process utilizes a new catalyst for titanium ore reduction in rotary kiln followed by magnetic separation. Using this novel technology, the titanium-vanadium and iron are successfully separated. Compared to the traditional reduction of Ti-bearing ore, the reduction temperature reduced to 1050 ?, leading to higher efficiency, lower energy consumption and investment, and broader applications."

Tumbling mill is an important unit operation in a mineral processing industry whose operation needs to be understood to make it an energy efficient unit. One of the important mill parameters is the impact spectra generated by collision of the moving charge mass on the mill shell. This process also generates mechanical vibration on the mill shell and propagates to the plumber block of the mill. In this work, we tried to understand the impact spectra by using different minerals such as Banded Hematite Quartzite (BHQ), Hematite and Quartz as mill feed of a semi-autogenous (SAG) mill. The said mill is of 1000 mm diameter and fitted with a force sensor on the mill shell and a vibration sensor on the plumber block. The analysis of the impact spectra was done by taking into consideration the peak impact force above a certain threshold value. It clearly shows that the impact force decreases as the particle size become finer irrespective of the mill feed material. This can be used as an effective tool by the mill operators to have an understanding of the mill product size reduction. The mechanical vibration tapped by a tri-axial accelerometer was analyzed by power spectral density analysis. The vibration signal analysis shows the variation in the power spectrum magnitude both at lower and higher frequency. It also shows inconsistency in case of BHQ where it shows a significant decrease in vibration at lower frequency and increase in vibration at higher frequency. Therefore, the impact spectra analysis is a better method compared to vibration analysis in understanding the mill product size reduction.

Considerable attention has been, and is being, given to the physics of water-films associated with bubble interactions at surfaces. In contrast, little information on the chemistry of such films has been reported. This communication reports a method using sum frequency vibrational spectroscopy (SFVS) to describe hydrogen bonding of interfacial water molecules in water films created with bubbles at hydrophilic and hydrophobic surfaces. The SFVS spectra of water films at hydrophilic silica surfaces differ significantly from the spectra of water at a hydrophobic silica surface. The SFVS spectra indicate that a very ordered water structure exists in water films at the hydrophilic silica surface during contact with a bubble and that the extent of hydrogen bonding increases with an increase in contact pressure. Such structural considerations as well as repulsive electrostatic and Van der Waals forces account for film stability for a bubble at the hydrophilic silica surface. In contrast, the SFVS spectra of water at a hydrophobic silica surface show a lack of hydrogen bonding and are characterized by a distinct absorption at about 3700 cm-1 similar to the spectrum of the air/water interface. These results suggest the presence of a water void, or water exclusion zone, at the hydrophobic surface, as supported by X-ray reflectivity measurements reported in the literature, by atomic force microscopy, and by the results from molecular dynamics simulations. Of course the water film at the hydrophobic surface is unstable with film thinning and rupture upon bubble contact. Under these circumstances it is shown that an attractive Van der Waals force between the bubble and the hydrophobic surface can be expected when the water exclusion zone is taken into consideration. As the thickness of the water exclusion zone increases to a thickness corresponding to the size of nano bubbles, the calculated attractive Van der Waals force increases. Low grade oxidized iron ores are usually not economic to utilize. However, the development of SLon magnetic separators and other new technologies make the process cost lower and lower. In this paper, several low-grade oxidized iron ore process flowsheets are introduced. The key procedure is that at the early stage, SLon magnetic separators are applied to discharge as more tails as possible with very low cost, only a small portion of rough concentrate going to the cleaning stage, showing the new technologies are profitable for such iron ores.

A rapid recovery/recycling process was introduced utilizing the surface-chemical properties of finely dispersed mercury and alumina (Al2O3) fibers in aqueous environment. The conventional method of amalgamation or .ball milling. involves the mixing of a substantial amount of mercury to collect free gold during the grinding stage. In effect, a portion of the mercury is transformed into minute droplets that readily float and disperse in the amalgamation effluent. The fine droplets of mercury in the dispersion readily attached onto the positively charged macroscopic alumina fibers (i.e. = pH 9.8) at conditions pH 3 to 10. When an effluent from settling procedure after an amalgamation-grinding stage is passed through a column-bed packed with alumina fibers, maximum collection of negatively charged finely dispersed mercury occurred at pH 3 to 6. The collection/attachment efficiency was 99.5%. The collected droplets of mercury, which are left in the column-bed of alumina fibers, were subsequently rinsed with alkaline solution at pH 10 to 11.5. At these conditions, both mercury and alumina fibers carry negative surface potentials and resulted in the partial detachment of mercury from the alumina fibers. The detachment efficiency was only 30-35%. The attachment/detachment mechanisms in this study were analyzed using the DLVO theory.

"Screening is an important means of size classification used on granular or particulate materials. The vibrating modes of screen separator have a great effect on the screening process. Elliptical vibration mode is a complex motion mode which gets the common characteristics of both linear and circular vibration modes. However, the fundamental motion and screen penetration of the particles on the elliptically vibrating screen deck are still poorly understood. A numerical study of the motion of particulates flow along an elliptically vibrating screen deck is presented by means of a three dimensional Discrete Element Method (3D-DEM). The motion characteristic of the particle flow is analyzed at a particle scale. The effects of vibration amplitude, throwing index, vibration direction angle and screen deck inclination angle on the screening process are discussed. The results show that the particles average velocity increases linearly with the increase of vibration amplitude, throwing index and screen deck inclination angle, but decreases linearly with the increase of vibration direction angle. The screening efficiency is highest when the vibration amplitude, throwing index, vibration direction angle and screen deck inclination angle are 4.5 mm, 3.3, 40° and 6°, respectively. This work is helpful for developing a deep understanding of particle motion on the elliptically vibrating screen and for optimizing screen separator designs."

"Jet diffuser flotation column (JDFC) is a flotation device resembles Jameson flotation cell (JFC) in terms of operational principles, but it has significant difference structural points of view. This difference is an essential change in the downcomer to provide an increase of performance of the cell for the coarse particles. By using the hydrodynamic and fluid mechanics principles (Sahbaz et al., 2013) downcomer was changed as a diffuser, therefore turbulence at the end of the downcomer was reduced to provide better aggregate stability and homogeneous dissipation of the bubbles in the separation tank. According to experimental results carried out in pilot scale JDFC, not only higher flotation performance comparing with Jameson cell was obtained specifically for coarse talc particles in a certain condition, but also quiescent froth layer was acquired. In these tests, vertical pipe of JDFC having inlet diameter of 6 cm and outlet diameter of 11.5 cm was used with separation tank having the diameter of 39 cm. By using the data, pilot scale JDFC having 410 cm vertical pipe integrated with separation tank was produced and flotation tests were carried out by using the naturally hydrophobic mineral (talc). Finally, the talc recovery obtained as 94% by the use of JDFC, while Jameson cell has the recovery of 77% for the particle size of 250 µm."

"Aqueous dispersions of air specifically prepared on the basis of flotation reagent solution acquire active properties in relation to the solid surface and may be imply as a medium for flotation ores. Such aerated solutions were defined as Activated Aqueous Dispersions of Air (AADA) with 5-6:1 ratio and the procedure of mineral separation was defined as a flotation process under non-equilibrium conditions. These procedures differ from conventional flotation mainly in reagent interaction with minerals through their adsorption films on gas bubbles simultaneously forming flotation complexes. Gas-liquid mixture is kept till an adsorption layer of reagents close to the limit value is formed on the surface of bubbles. The theoretical basis of AADA is considered.The results of two-phase gas- liquid mixture (AADA) were studied. Two versions of AADA were considered. Electrical surface potential of the air bubbles with the surfactant film, untreated minerals particles in Coulomb attraction and flotation complex formation were analyzed. Special flotation machines were constructed for separation of mineral suspension in air dispersion, whose effectiveness was confirmed in flotation of apatite waste of Kovdor ore. FK-9 machine introduced on Kovdor iron ore combine for the recovery of apatite from current departures of factory. The froth product contained 7.2 % P2O5, with recovery of 44 % apatite, which was processed for getting melted phosphoric-magnesium fertilizers."

At projecting mining-concentrating complex at the deposit ?Zapadnoye? (Russia) it was considered to enable an opportunity of refusal from conventional SAG-mills. First time a scheme of gold bearing ore destruction using Roller Press RP 5-100/90 had been developed and integrated. The plant was launched in summer 2003 and presently it has achieved designed technological parameters, processing throughput comes to 1 million tons of the ore per year.
